A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting
In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a shared web hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few features, but it’s unbelievably simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The custom Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all mailbox effortlessly even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t want this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
